Cooking

First Steps

To begin, you should speak to the Master Chef NPC located in your capital city. At these NPCs you can:

  • Buy recipe books which are used to unlock even more unique foods
  • Sell any food items that you have created for a nice profit

You can use our inner-city navigation system (/nav) to find the Master Chef NPCs, but here are their coordinates if you're still having trouble locating them:

  • Fire Nation Capital: 3505, 126, 9692
  • Ba Sing Se: 19875, 39, 5490
  • Gaipan: 15538, 34, 8736
  • Northern Water Tribe: 13320, 20, 2125
  • Southern Air Temple: 10843, 114, 15033

Recipes

In order to access the cooking recipe menu you will need to right click on a cauldron filled with water. While you will automatically learn a few recipes as you level up, you can also purchase more unique food recipes from the different Master Chef NPCs throughout the world. However, remember that this knowledge does not come free, recipes will cost yuans, and you will have to have enough experience before the chefs will trust you with their recipes.

TIP: Every nation has their own unique cuisine, so make sure to speak with all of Master Chef NPCs if you want to experience every new food available.

Item Proficiency

Every cooking recipe has its own individual "proficiency level". As you increase this level the cooking process for that food will become more efficient and you will be more likely to create higher quality foods.

Proficiency levels 5 & 10 are important milestones as they increase the quantity that you produce by +1.

Foods

Food is an essential item in real life, and it's no different in AvatarMC. Via the Professions system, we've replaced regular vanilla food with a variety of delicious new options for you to enjoy! These items can be broken down into two categories:

Snacks

The snack items within professions function similarly to the potions found within other RPG games. They provide rapid yet small bursts of healing and can greatly assist you in the middle of a fight.

By default, you will produce x3 of the result when creating snack items. This amount can be increased as your proficiency in the recipe rises.

Examples of Snacks include Pickled Fish, Chocolate Donuts, Turtle Duck on a Stick, and the all-time classic Choccy Milk!

Full Meals

Full meal items typically provide long lasting buffs, increase your maximum health, as well as increase your health regeneration.

By default, you will produce x1 of the result when creating full meal items. This amount can be increased as your proficiency in the recipe rises.

Examples of a Full Meal include Seaweed Noodles, Fish and Chips, Dragon Sausage, and the famous Republic City Style Pizza!
